She received her calling from God to serve the poor while attending the Church of the Redeemer in Houston, Texas and ministering to a poverty-stricken neighborhood in the city. Elise writes a monthly column in a lead Christian Magazine in South Africa called LiG. She has published two books in her home language, Afrikaans. Elise and Pieter have two daughters, Marielise and Susan.view less
