She was a teacher for many years, then a school librarian, but writing took over and that’s how she spends her days. It’s the most challenging and the most satisfying work she’s ever done. Valerie writes fiction and non-fiction and especially enjoys narrative non-fiction, where lots of information is wrapped up in an exciting story. She has written over a hundred books, on all sorts of subjects, and she likes to bring a touch of humour to everything she does.view less
