He is also an entrepreneur, a recording artist, choir director, songwriter, musician, and playwright. Though he is multi-talented and gifted, he prides himself in being a humble and faithful servant of God.His message is one that focuses on developing the total person into what God has destined him or her to become, through the love of His only begotten Son Jesus Christ. His purpose is to encourage every man to follow his dreams and maximize his potential. He is the Founder, Organizer, and Senior Pastor of Marvelous Light Christian Ministries in Lithia Springs, Georgia. What began as a blessed group of 250 people, who were devoted to spiritual growth, became a ministry receiving in membership of more than 2000 souls. In 1985, he and his high school sweetheart, Kelly Manning, united in holy matrimony, and one year later moved to Atlanta, from Denver, where he enrolled in the Religion & Philosophy program at Morehouse College. Together, they have three beautiful children: Kayla, James II, and Jonathan; and one lovely granddaughter, Lauryn. He is truly a gift to the Body of Christ and an anointed vessel for such a time as this. On any given Sunday morning you may hear him quoting one of his favorite sayings: “If you look hard enough, you’ll see God moving in every situation.”view less
