Despite his parents and siblings choosing to go into medicine and science, he chose instead to pursue the arts. In 1990, he established the internationally admired Bard Music Festival, the success of which helped in the development of the beautiful Richard B. Fisher Center for the Performing Arts, a multi-functional facility. He currently serves as the artistic director of Campus Grafenegg and Grafenegg Academy in Austria.view less
