Being an environmentalist, he is concerned with promoting conservation and the importance of waterfront trails. His 160-page report on this subject now rests in the Grimsby Historical Archives. Urban sprawl, the loss of farmland, wetland drainage and the pollution of our lakes and rivers have drawn his attention. As a football coach, he has won numerous championships and set several records.With his wife he has published fifteen sport topics dealing with drugs, values, racism, sexism, violence, gambling, the Olympics, and others. Dennis has submitted articles and letters to the Hamilton Spectator, Cottage Life Magazine, Ontario-Out-Of-Doors, and the Vatican (Rome). His hobbies and interests include foreign affairs, growing dahlias, fishing, total fitness, and volunteering.He lives in Grimsby, Ontario, where he is an active member of the community.Jenny (Paulissen) D'Alessandro was born in Maastricht, Netherlands, and is educated in Dutch, French, German and English. Her father, Paul, was a sergeant in the Dutch Armed Forces. At the age of four, she was taught by her mother to knit, sew clothes, crochet, and embroider. The family immigrated to Canada in 1956 aboard the S.S. Groote Beer (the Big Bear), and settled in Hamilton, Ontario. Jenny has worked in a lawyer's office and financial institutions, and has been involved in real estate transactions. She is the mother of three daughters, all of whom are university graduates.This talented mother produces hundreds of outfits that are donated to disadvantaged children. She enjoys oil painting, Zumba classes, playing the piano and volunteering her services at a large charitable organization that supports the needy. Jenny is a long-time resident of Grimsby, Ontario, where she resides with her husband and soul mate, Dennis.view less
