He wrote his first play when he was eight, Bill Took a Pill, which he produced in the garage with neighborhood kids in the cast. He lives with his Hungarian wife, Gabriella, in rural Northern Virginia. DJ and his daughter, LA Whipple, coauthored their debut novel.
