This book is her response to a YouTube video she saw in 2019. She read the caption “Distraught Father,” curious about what the father was distraught over she clicked on it. He told the story of his daughter who had been kidnapped at age 11; trafficked for two years, then miraculously she was recovered, only to commit suicide 18 months later. This video haunted her for the next nine months. She wondered what response would she give to the father or to others who are hurting. Hannah’s climb was conceived at that moment. Research shows that if you teach someone a principle, they will remember it for two or three days. If you put it in a story, they will remember it for life.
