His assignments as an ecumenical rural consultant have taken him to over forty countries. In the 1980’s he assisted Pacific Island leaders in addressing critical cultural, economic and health issues, including those related to nuclear testing. He co-edited: Liklik Buk, a Rural Development Handbook still widely used in the Pacific Islands, and co-authored A Call to New Exodus, concerning nuclear issues; Rice in the Storm, an ecumencial resource book on the Philippines, and authored Sun, Silhouettes and Shadows, a photo essay on rural people and places in the Philippines.view less
