Artist, photographer, writer, he has been awarded the Victoria Medal of Honour by the Royal Horticulture Society, the Veitch Memorial Medal and the Society's Gold Medal for his paintings and drawings, the Dean Hole Medal of the Royal National Rose Society, and was honored with the OBE in 1975.view less
