The death of her mother from bile duct cancer and her own functional neurological disorder with its associated mental health problems are strong influences in her writing.
She graduated her MA with a distinction and the Blackwell Prize in creative writing. Her first novel, which was developed from her major project, is due to be published by Atmosphere Press and is titled The Things We Left Sleeping.view less
