My name is Jesse Banerjee. Growing up around the nightclub scene from a really young age, I quickly learned the in’s and out’s of the industry. Since 1982, I have also witnessed the revolution in the entertainment and underground parties industry. This includes classic hip hop, breakdancing, freestyle music, new wave music, house music, and numerous other circas.Music has always been a huge part of my life. Not only did I enjoy it, but I also managed to make a living out of it. I have been around the entertainment industry a couple of decades—this was before people started going to Coachella and there were more nightclub people. We’re talking about the bustling nightlife of Boileroom events or posh Hispanic private events. At the time, I was hired as a photographer and expert promoter for such events because of my elite status and creative genius. Some would also go so far as to call me a professional choreographer for nightlife. I am very competitive and passionate about everything I do and enjoy every part of my business. For example, when working with live show entrepreneurs who have a lot of resources, I could minimize their expenditures without compromising on the end product.Alongside a deeply embedded knowledge of music, I am also an accomplished choreographer and have added countless DJs to my network over the years. Speaking of which, I believe that DJs are a crucial part of the live entertainment industry, whether it is in nightclubs or private parties.Currently, I am in the process of capitalizing on my experience in the entertainment industry to establish a brand that flourishes internationally, especially in China. It is my goal to grow my live entertainment brand to encompass various cultures or music genres. To achieve these goals, I have partnered with well-renowned stylists from Hollywood. Through this partnership, I have been exposed to a whole new world of ideas and schools of thought. These ideas have inspired me to offer versatile and original live entertainment services. The brand that I have set out to build is very unique and commercial. It is my goal to travel to new destinations to offer never-seen-before live performances. The unique selling proposition of my brand will be to offer such experiences that not only keep customers coming back for more but also one that revolutionizes the entertainment business. For one, my brand is going to go beyond catering to women and will lay down unforgettable experiences for all demographics. Most of my work is inspired from my father’s business, which was a particularly well-known brand during the ’80s and ‘90s called Chippendales. This touring dance troupe performed live striptease performances wearing a distinctive upper body costume that consisted of shirt cuffs, collars, and bow ties, all of which were worn over an otherwise bare body.My fathers’ company produced Broadway-style burlesque shows and took his shows worldwide, offering shows in exclusive hotels and venues. In fact, on an annual basis, the Chippendales have performed for over 2 million people, belonging to at least 25 cities in America, 23-cities in South and Central America, 60 cities in Europe, 4-countries in Asia, and 8-cities in South Africa.Inspired by my father’s vision and my decades of experience in the live entertainment industry, I have envisioned a brand that takes Chippendales, and other such live entertainment shows, to a whole new level. For starters, all of my live shows are going to have more soul because this, in my opinion, is exactly what is missing from those brands that fail in their infancy. What I’m trying to establish is going to be along the lines of Studio 54, the former nightclub in Midtown Manhattan. However, my vision of my brand is Studio 54, but on steroids. I believe very few brands have managed to venture into the creative side of the live entertainment industry. I believe I can do a great job of tapping into this untouched market because I’ve been responsible for various different roles within the same project. For instance, from 2004 to 2009, I managed a live entertainment project where I was not only the photographer but also the lead animator and promoter. What’s more, in the backend of the same project, I also handled the marketing and creative side of things. All of this happened way before Facebook and other social media platforms took control of marketing and GIF animations were finally outdated. It is safe to say that most of my experience in the entertainment industry was hands-on.Still, the problem with most modern marketing tools is that they don’t have as much personalization and reach as the glory days of nightclubs and live entertainment events. For starters, it is my mission to start revolutionizing the payment process in strip clubs. This would also double up as a marketing tool for my brand alongside the well-thought-out entertainment sequences.ExperienceAssistant manager of Club 740 in downtown Los Angeles, worked with legendary LA and OC promoter JerrJerry Najera, Lit LA Nightclub, and.
