He was a founding member of Akeanon Literary Circle, Fellow 24th UP National Writers Workshop in the Visayas, and third prize winner in National Commission for Culture and the Arts (NCCA) All-West Visayan Poetry Competition (Hiligaynon category). His entry was Pinatubo nga Kasakit.
