She is a mom to Brady and Bianca, wife to Brian (aka The Big Guy), writer, blogger, podcaster, business owner, and a 21-year retired Air Force nurse. Donna co-authored her first book in 2017, Warrior to Patriot Citizen; focusing on ensuring service members are prepared for transition well before transition occurs. She also has her own blog, Taking Off The Armor, focused on all issues before, during and after transition to civilian life; as well as, a multifaceted business, REBel LLC, focused on veteran transition mentorship, consulting, and publishing her own work. Bianca is a Texas native 5th grader at Randolph Elementary and has a true love for everything and anything art related - writing, dancing, singing (often in the shower), painting, drawing, baking, learning languages, playing instruments, and crafts. It was her idea to draw pictures in the book. She self taught herself to use Google draw and penned every image in the book. She is an avid swimmer and student of Brazilian jiu jitsu, as well as an animal lover. She has two dogs (Amelia and Lilo), a cat (Puck) and is dreaming (and begging) for a white toe tree frog.view less
