His first fiction collection, "Souls in Exile", includes his award-winning short story, "Dreaming in America." He is the author of two other novels, Gabriel Hemingway's "The Cuban Scar", and "The Exhumation". He is a former recording artist and the creator of the rock opera, "Diablero", based on Carlos Castaneda's books.
