Cody grew up working closely with horses and dogs, and thus has an intimate understanding of the close bonds that people can form with these creatures. Cody discovered his love of literature at age 8 by tackling Michael Crichtons Jurassic Park and has not stopped reading since. As a high school sophomore, Cody entered a Scary Story writing contest for his local newspaper. Though not a winner, Cody received strong encouragement from the editor to consider a career in writing; thus, sparking his desire to put pen to paper.view less
