Dr. Terry Thomas was the author of several books: “Becoming A Fruit- Bearing Disciple,” “Let Us Pray,” “Making It Through A Storm,” “From the Pastor’s Desk” and “Divine Inspiration...view moreDr. Terry Thomas was the author of several books: “Becoming A Fruit- Bearing Disciple,” “Let Us Pray,” “Making It Through A Storm,” “From the Pastor’s Desk” and “Divine Inspiration for Victorious Living.” During his years in ministry, he had the privilege of serving as the pastor of First Baptist Church in New Hill, North Carolina; Mt. Zion Baptist Church in Madison, Wisconsin; and West Durham Baptist Church in Durham, North Carolina.
Dr. Thomas also served as a mentor to a group of Doctor of Ministry students at United Theological Seminary in Dayton, Ohio, whose focus was Leadership and Preaching in the African-American Church; and he also served as the director of the Apex School of Theology Doctor of Ministry Program in Durham, North Carolina. In addition, Dr. Thomas was the former editor of the Baptist Informer of the General Baptist State Convention North Carolina.
He earned a B.S. in Math/Computer Science from Tuskegee University; a Master of Divinity at Shaw University; and a Doctor of Ministry at Virginia Union School of Theology.view less
