She completed three years of college education at S...view moreCynthia Logan is a native of the island country of Jamaica, West Indies, where she received her primary and secondary education. She completed three years of college education at Shortwood Teachers’ College after graduating from High School. She began teaching in 1970, taught for two years, then enrolled at the University of the West Indies where she pursued her undergraduate degree, majoring in Economics. She has been a teacher on all levels of private and public education, and an Administrative Assistant in various areas of leadership in Jamaica, New York and Florida. In 1996, while working at Teachers Insurance Annuity Association –College Retirement Equities Fund she enrolled at New York University, and pursued a Masters degree with an emphasis in Business Teachers Education. She continued as Administrative Assistant in New York after graduation in 1998 and served as Teacher Assistant, years later in Florida. In 2013 she completed a certificate in Education at Jones International University, specializing in Corporate Training and Knowledge Management at the Instructor level. Prior to obtaining her masters degree, Mrs. Logan completed a certificate in writing for children and teenagers. She was determined to share her thoughts with colleagues, relatives and friends, plus a wide array of the reading public at a time she considered “appropriate”, “relaxing” and “dynamic”, while she continued to be an avid reader. She considers writing in various ’genres’ a stimulating adventure and her lifelong dream of writing in several genres has only just begun. She is presently retired and lives in Everett, WA with her ailing husband, Howard and their adult children Haydn and Charise. She also has an adorable grandson, Oswin Raymond.view less
