She currently works with children that have special needs in her school district and is a member of the Louisiana Early Childhood Association. Her degree is in child development, and she has always had an interest in teaching young children to read. The interest led to the development of the Travis Sight Word list and the creation of twenty-six stories that teach young children phonics and sight words weekly, enabling young children to learn the basics and begin to read fluently at a young age.view less
