He studied Chemistry at Aston University in Birmingham and got a degree in Science from the Open University majoring in Astrophysics. He worked for 35 years as an Industrial Chemist in Applied Research in Automotive and Aerospace and as a Member of the Institute of Corrosion. He worked in the USA from 1968 to 74 constructing many of the world’s largest oil storage tanks. He was in the second expedition to break the world depth record in 1962 in the Gouffre Berger in France. His first book ‘Our American Hero’ published in 2007 was about the death of Abraham Lincoln.view less
