Cyriac Thomas was born at Trivandrum, Kerala State, India. He holds a Licentiate (Master’s) degree in Theology from Louvain University, Belgium; another Masters Degree in Mass Communication, Linguistics and Sociology from the Munster University, West Germany, He had worked as News Editor in the daily newspaper “Deepika” (a Malayalam language newspaper in Kerala, India) for a few years. He was Chairman of the Institute of Communication and Development, Cochin, Kerala, for the past 30 years; He was active in the TV field for over 15 years from 1985 to 2000. Since the year 2000 He turned to education field, was Chairman of Carmel Public School, Kochi from 2000 to 2004, Then from 2005 to 2007 Finance Manager of Carmel Polytechnic College, Alleppey. From 2008 to 2012 he was Principal of Carmel International School, Alleppey From 2013 he is at Trivandrum as the Principal of Christ Nagar International School (affiliated to Cambridge University, UK) (www.cnis.in). He is author of the book, “The Hidden Agenda” (546pp.), which was a legal, critical analysis of the “Self-Financing Colleges Law”, promulgated by the Government of Kerala State; It was a widely read book, popular among educationists and legal fraternity in Kerala State. its Malayalam language version was published in 2007. He is a priest and lives at Trivandrum, still heading the Christ Nagar International School as its Principal.
