For almost 17 years, Dr. Harris has utilized her talent and passion by helping others with their behavioral and emotional issues. Dr. Harris has developed an effective background in the clinical realm with a professional style that promotes and empowers her counseling staff to increase their professional growth while accomplishing their personal goals. Dr. Harris is able to meet her clientele at their emotional, spiritual, and behavioral levels which enables her to better assist the clients with their individual needs by focusing on each individual need.
Dr. Harris received her Doctorate in Education from Argosy University in 2015. Her dissertation focused on successful community reintegration. Dr. Harris went back to school in 2008 to work towards another degree, to ensure that she was eligible for supervision as a resident in counseling to become a Licensed Professional Counselor. In 2010, Dr. Harris received an Educational Specialist degree from Hampton University in Community Counseling. In 2008, she received a Master of Arts from Norfolk State University in Urban Education - Community Counseling. Dr. Harris has earned certificates as a Certified Substance Abuse Counselor, Certified Rehabilitation Provider and Human Service Board Certified Practitioner. Dr. Harris has a Bachelor of Arts from Norfolk State University in Sociology with emphasize on Criminal Justice.
Dr. Harris is passionate about empowering women, advocating for the mentally ill, educating the community about mental illness, and assisting felons with getting their rights restored as well as implementing an effective program to assist the previously incarcerated with successful reintegration.view less
