Born in Arizona and having spent most of his early years in New Hampshire, Gary has lived in eight states, has spent time in nearly all states in the United States,, and has traveled overseas. He has worked in service-related businesses as well as technically oriented companies and has won national awards for achievement, sales levels, and performance in operations.
Many years of experience in management, sales, and technical work have contributed to the making of this book. Personal accomplishments such as becoming a scuba dive master and master diver, obtaining a US Coast Guard master level captain’s license, and flying fixed- and rotary-winged aircraft, combined with his business experiences, have had a direct influence on understanding people, processes, and business ventures. These experiences have also influenced the understanding of what it takes to go into business.
