biography. Born into very humble beginnings in
West Virginia, he broke the mold as a child who was
regarded as “retarded” and having a low IQ , who
was also physically abused to a man of character,
strength, and perseverance. He overcame the overt
racism he faced and started many social programs
and organizations. “Only the Strong Survives” is a
fitting title to this man’s life and experience. His
story serves as an inspiration to those who face
adversity in their life and find the inner strength to overcome it.view less
