September 11, 2001, his ship was deployed within a week to go overseas. After returning from deployment overseas, he wasn’t the same person. Eventually the author was diagnosed with PTSD.
Writing these poems has helped tremendously in reducing the severity of his PTSD symptoms and renewing his faith in God. These poems are a journey through the author’s memories, flashbacks, and nightmares of his time in the navy and his struggles since then.
He is now living in northern New Hampshire with his wife and two sons. His wife and older son have been with him from the beginning. All three have stuck with him through all the hills and valleys of his journey.view less
