He was educated at Cheltenham College and Reading University, where he studied agriculture, culminating in a job working on a beef cattle ranch. He later worked for a London software company before co-founding and later selling a stake in his own company. He also worked for General Electric. A widower, he’s retired and lives in Scotland’s Galloway Hills.view less
