She has survived due to her ability to organize, see the whole picture, and act to solve issues. She was executive director of Victims for Victims, a nonprofit organization founded by actress Theresa Saldana after she was brutally stabbed by a crazed fan. She also brought together the leaders of other victims’ groups to pass legislation called the Victims Bill of Rights in California. She organized the first Candlelight Vigil for Crime Victims for the Sunny von Bulow Victim Advocacy Center.view less
