She has seen how the lost and thrown-away pets that no one wanted thrive when they were placed in loving homes. Her book is based on her own cat, Frankie, who she adopted from a high-kill shelter at eleven years of age and thirty-five pounds.
This is her first book. Additional Frankie books, her own animals dealing with real-people problems, are currently in the works.
Her hope is that children can associate, through her animals, how much words can hurt. How we are all different, and it is all right!
Elisabeth and her husband, Paul, live in Prattville, Alabama, with three other rescue cats and four rescue dogs. They have five children and five grandchildren.
