Mrs. Champ was born in Natchez, MS in 1994. She graduated from Brumfield Elementary School in 1957 and Sadie V. Thompson High School in 1961. She became a member of the Bright Star Baptist Church i...view moreMrs. Champ was born in Natchez, MS in 1994. She graduated from Brumfield Elementary School in 1957 and Sadie V. Thompson High School in 1961. She became a member of the Bright Star Baptist Church in Natchez and was in regular attendance.
Mrs. Champ moved to Chicago and attended Wilson Junior College. She retired from the University of Illinois at Chicago in 1999. In 1981, she became an ordained minister and is currently an assistant to her husband, Pastor Eddie L. Champ, who also graduated from Sadie V. Thompson High School in 1960. Pastor and Mrs. Champ have operated the Abilities Unlimited Prayer and Counseling Center since 1983 and are proud parents of a daughter, Ms. Nicole J. Champ, who graduated with Bachelor and Masters degrees from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.
The book entitled, Inspirational Poems is Mrs. Champs first book. Her second book entitled, Having A Personal Relationship with God.view less
