Halina attended college at the University of Nevada, Reno and received a Bachelors degree in Arts and Science. Halina carried out her dream of being a teacher with a job at Reno High School teaching foreign languages. Halina told her stories of World War II to her students. Her students enjoyed the stories so much; they encouraged her to write Hanuska, Quest for Freedom. Halina taught at Reno High School for 15 years.
Currently, Halina lives in Sparks, Nevada with her son, daughter-in-law and step-granddaughter. Hanuska, Quest for Freedom, her first novel, is based on her own life experiences.view less
