At one point in her childhood she lived with her grandparents in a small village on the island of Kyushu. There she was surrounded by many ghost stories and superstitions. She now resides in Tennessee.
She has brought to her book, The Haunting of the Coin, a combination of the western world and that of the lives and spirits in a small Japanese village. The story involves inter racial relationships, prejudices, and the art of revenge in the era of post war Japan.view less
