D., is a native of Guyana, a small English-speaking country on the northern coast of South America. On migrating to the United States, he settled in Boston and attended the University of Massachusetts, where he graduated with batchelor degrees in biology and psychology. As a high school science teacher and environmentalist, Dr. Cumberbatch earned an MA (ED) and Ph.D. (Env. ED.), during that period. From writing on environmental issues and science curriculi, Dr. Cumberbatch produced his first fiction novel, Boogie Days, two years ago.
‘The Killing of Girlie Moonsammy’, can be construed as a sequel to the first novel, but stands alone as a mystery and romantic novel.view less
