Among her awards are: The World Academy of Arts and Culture/UNESCO (WAAC) President’s Gold Medals for Literary Excellence, India 2007 and Taiwan 2010, and the Silver Rose for her poem “Bridge to the Heaven’s Realm”, Mexico 2008; she was inducted to the Women’s Hall of Fame in the sacred island of Delos and received the EAWC's Goddess Artemis Women Achievement Award for bridging Nations and cultures, Greece 2008. In 2011 she was designated Universal Ambassadress by Le Cercle Universel des Ambassadeurs de la Paix, Switzerland and France.
Born in Colombia, South America, Lucía is multilingual, multicultural and appears on national and international media. She is profiled in the 1996 Simon & Schuster’s “Latino Success, Insights from 100 of America’s Most Powerful Latino Business Professionals.”
