A retired native of Michigan and California, for the past twenty-six years an ex-pat in England, he worked in quality control, computer operations, banking operations, systems design, telecommunications, and logistics. He served in the Marine Corps, army, and California National Guard and was in the infantry, air defense artillery, and armoured cavalry stationed in Alaska, California, Washington, and Vietnam.
