Born i...view morePaul Weingarten, painter, Draughtsman, Poet and founder of the American Crafts Festivals at Lincoln Center in New York City has a bachelor’s degree from New York University. Born in New York City, studied art with Martin Pajeck, a student of Max Beckman, and poetry with James Land Jones a Student of Archibald MacLeish, at Harvard University. He is married and has five children and lives in Montclair, NJ. His work is in museums throughout the United States including the High Museum, Atlanta, Georgia, and the Houston Museum of Fine Art, Houston, Texas as well as prominent private collections. He has exhibited in New York City, Los Angelis and Berlin, Germany and has been positively reviewed by major publications including the New York Times. He has Taught and/or lectured at The National Academy of fine art in New York City, The Studio School of New York, Amherst college, Columbia Graduate School of Art Education, University of Wisconsin, and published in a number of journals including humanities magazine.view less
