The family went to a church four miles from where they lived in an old school building called Prairie View. It was in this old building that she felt a tug on her heart, and she asked Jesus to come into her heart. She was around six years old, and by age twelve she read the Bible every day.
Kate was a very happy child, and as she grew older people noticed her optimism and joy. When they asked her why, she would answer, “Because of Jesus.”
Years went by. She married, raised four lively children, and when her youngest child started school, she returned to school and completed her nursing degree. Most of her years as an RN she worked in the emergency room.
Though she still has the ups and downs of life, she remains optimistic and happy. In this book she explains why.view less
