In 2005, Raquel founded an organization that mentors young girls called “Foundation TAMARA,” located in Sacramento, California. Then a mother of two young daughters’ she had always felt the need to empower young women with positivity and agrees that today’s youth (male or female) should have a person to go for empowerment, encouragement and uplifting. For more than 15 years Raquel has used writing as a form of therapy to cope with heartbreak and unhappiness from failed relationships that made her question her own self-worth which led her to her first novel “Lies Men Tell.” Now on her second book Raquel’s shares with us the fun that being a grandmother has brought her.
