She was diagnosed with Bipolar Disorder as a young adult. She has been a staunch advocate of mental health awareness for over 30 years. At the age of 12 her Home Economics teacher asked the students to write and illustrate a children’s book. Dusty, the small gray mouse was created. It is her dream that Dusty’s story will help those who live with Bipolar Disorder as well as family/friends understand this illness is manageable and that it is possible to live a balanced life. She resides in Grand Blanc, Michigan with her husband and three children.view less
