He initially attended Pleasant Street Primary School because, at the time, it was only one of two schools that had a Language Unit. Even at the age of five, he couldn’t talk properly. His first teacher was a Barbara Garrett who hailed from down south, which probably accounts for his refined Liverpool accent. He also has Asperger’s Syndrome, a form of autism, which he was diagnosed with at the age of thirteen but wasn’t told about this until he was in his twenties. This is his first novel.view less
