His childhood memories of rural wartime Lincolnshire and the recent 60th anniversary of the Battle of Arnhem led him to write this novel, in tribute to the men who fought there.
Since 1973, he has lived in North Canterbury, New Zealand with his wife and family who are now scattered around the northern hemisphere. He is a semi-retired accountant suffering from the disease of writing.view less
