(Owens) Russell aka TraceyGirlz is not only an Author/Blogger but also a Therapist, Entrepreneur, Mentor, Child Sexual Assault Survivor, and Inspirational Speaker who strives to be a Motivational Guru!! She touts herself as such because of the work she has done & continues to try to do for others. She firmly believes in this affirmation!
With a genuine love of the pen, she has been writing seriously since her high school days. She was privileged to have teachers who encouraged her creativity. They often fostered her desire to manipulate thoughts and ideas.
Early on, she wrote for B-Visible Magazine, a well-known publication, which was based in her hometown of Memphis, TN. As an adult, she has written several articles online for domestic violence and depression. She is currently a regular columnist for Running On Magazine.
Although she currently resides in South Carolina, she would like to yet revisit a prior plan, that being her previously having her own talk show, In The Midst with Tracey which was based in Memphis, TN.
At present, she owns and online store, that being, The You Collection which is designed to evoke hope and positivity. Each slogan is powerful and purposeful in its own rite.
Her education? A Certification in Computerized Accounting, BBA in Management from LeMoyne-Owen College and MSSW in Social Work from University of Tennessee, Knoxville. She is also a proud member of Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. but has other professional connections. With over 20 years in social services and over 10 years in marketing, this experience has added to her professional base.
Writing is simply a natural correlation of her innate desire to be a blessing to others. The pen is how she helps the undertakings occur!view less
