She also received a MAT in Secondary Social...view moreKristin Overstreet received a B.A. in Counseling and Human Services and a M.ed. in Mental Health Counseling from Lindsey Wilson College. She also received a MAT in Secondary Social Studies from the University of the Cumberlands. She is currently a high school history teacher at East Ridge High School in Eastern, KY, and an Adjunct Instructor for Lindsey Wilson College’s School of Professional Counseling.
Prior to teaching, Kristin was a Clinical Social Worker for the state of Kentucky, where her role was to protect the needs of abused and neglected children, as well as approve and certify foster/adoptive parents. Kristin accredits her deep relationship with Christ to the struggles and pain she faced while working in the field of Social Work.
In 2014, Kristin Overstreet received the Excellence in Service Award from the Commissioner of Kentucky, for her dedication to families and children.
Kristin is married to her husband, Lee, and the couple has 3 children, Jacob (18), Hannah (14) and Jaron (7). The family resides in Elkhorn City, KY where they are active members at Elkhorn Community Church; leading various ministries including worship music and youth ministries. Kristin also leads a women’s ministry known as Faith, Family and Friends and holds two women conferences a year for women in her community.view less
