He is an ordained minister. His ministry experience includes teaching Youth Sunday School, and Seniors Bible Study. His pastoral services to Seniors in a Nursing Home setting cover: Sunday worship, administering Holy Communion, Wednesday Bible Studies, occasional hospital visitation, as well as hospice outreach. The author’s experience with devotional books dates back to his teen years, and covers more than fifty years. He has observed that generally, these helpful aids provide brief commentaries on selected texts, and link them to life experiences. However, these texts do not always seem to expand on the scriptural context. With “Meditations for a Quiet Place” he presents a book that additionally presents the text and draws from its context to continuously incorporate more scripture texts, thus creating a long-lasting impression. The added bonus is the enhancement of scripture exposure to increase an awareness of the Bible as a book of life and living.view less
