I’ve always loved when an animal would get funny expressions on their faces or tip their heads to one side and look up at me, so I would wonder what they were thinking. This inspired me to write a book about a special animal.
I have dyslexia so I have always had trouble with spelling and grammar. While attending college and taking a literature class that the professor required not only book reports, but also to write about a subject she chose, and we never knew what that subject was until we showed up at class. I earned an excellent grade because the professor graded more on imagination than spelling or grammar. When the class was over, she took me aside and told me that I needed to write a lot in my lifetime. She felt that it would be a shame if I didn’t become an author. I told her that she had witnessed that my spelling and grammar abilities were lacking. She countered by saying you can always find someone to correct your spelling and grammar, so don’t let that stand in your way from writing. She told me that I had been able to write for three hours in every class.
So she is the reason I have chosen to write, and, yes, I have found someone who has helped me with my grammar, so I married her, and her name happens to be Cathy. I am very grateful for her encouragement and her help with my syntax in doing this book and other books that I am writing.view less
