Fanning, MD is a native of Rochester, New York. He graduated from Hamilton College in Clinton, New York, and received his medical degree at the SUNY Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse, New York. After completing training in anesthesiology, he served in the US Army for two years before settling into practice in central Iowa for 20 years. He then became Medical Director and Director of Anesthesiology of a surgery center dedicated to eye surgery in Northern Illinois. Following his retirement, he and his wife, Arline, moved to Minnesota, in order to be near their children and grandchildren.view less
