She still spends parts of the year in Hawaii enjoying the ocean and ohana. She started writing this book when she was 9 years old. She would correspond via email with her friend, Hanna Kim, who lives in California and she would help edit and give ideas to add to the story. Izabelle's inspirations for writing this book are JK Rowling, Rick Riordan, and S.E. Hinton. She finished the book right before her 11th birthday. I had 10 books printed up to share with our ohana.
