Taking the scenery from his travels and the amalgam of ideals bestowed upon him from his family and friends, he formed the work that is “Flint and Steel” into a very symbolic and poetic piece. He finished the story directly after high school, and after three years it was finally ready for the shelves. His love and respect for nature given to him from his life in Lower Alabama is shown throughout the pages as he shows his views and manages to capture the reader with each and every word.view less
