The last 23 years of her nursing career has been spent working with patients at the end of their live...view moreJune Kuykendall is a registered nurse who has worked many years in various areas of healthcare. The last 23 years of her nursing career has been spent working with patients at the end of their lives. She is a graduate of Eastern Mennonite College with a Bachelor’s of Science degree in nursing. Her love for knowledge led her to continue pursing graduate work in the field of Community Health and Wellness Promotion. She a National Certified Hospice and Palliative Care Nurse, an Advanced Directive Instructor where she continues to be an advocate and voice for the importance of advance care planning. She was co-founder of a Palliative Care Program in a local nursing facility that is still active at the time of this writing. In 2011, she received the West Virginia Health Care Association Award for distinguished service in the field of nursing.
Throughout her career, she has been a mentor to nursing students and has taught may classes on palliative care. June is active in the Moorefield Church of God where she teaches the young adult Sunday School class and continues to serve in many other aspects of God’s work. She and her husband, Larry, reside in Moorefield, West Virginia, have one daughter, Renee, and son-in-law, Steven, two grandchildren, Alexis and Jacob.view less
