He went on to spend a number of years in sales and writing columns and news articles.
Don and his wife Joan, raised two children in Moses Lake, Washington where both are active in Our Lady of Fatima Catholic Church. He retired as representative of the Knights of Columbus Insurance Company.
Throughout his working life, he has always been interested in helping people and children in particular. Therefore his membership in various community endeavors such as: Lions, a onetime board member of St Rose Catholic School and an active member of Kiwanis where he helps distribute dictionaries to 3rd graders each year.
Don and Joan have seven grandchildren which is why the book came to be. Also, after reading the story at the Children of Fatima Preschool, the children let him know that the story was worth telling to the world.view less
