She is the third of five children and has always loved the outdoors and sports of all kinds, with swimming and diving being her favorites. She was very young when her parents took her and her siblings camping along the Kern River and she has dearly loved camping ever since.
She married Ed in 1960 and they joined her family often at Lake Mead where they camped, swam, fished, boated and water skied. In 1969 they moved with their four children to Kansas, near Wichita. First they rented a little farm in Kechi, from there they purchased a ten acre farm in Sedgwick. A large creek with deep banks ran through their back yard where the kids could fish, swim, tube and jump into the water from a high rope swing.
Jackie and Ed took many camping trips throughout the US and have been in every state except North Carolina and Hawaii, with two trips driving their RV through parts of Alaska.
Currently she and Ed live at Cheney Lake State Park working as Camp Hosts.view less
