A selection of his early poems, written before 2000, is also included in this testimony to creativity over seven decades. His earlier books on recovery include “Write for Life: Healing Body, Mind and Spirit Through Journal Writing,” “Accepting Ourselves,” “Accepting Ourselves and Others.”
His long career in education began in 1956 and has extended to 1982. He was vice president at two universities, an international management consultant, and a recovery counselor. He has a BA with honors in philosophy from Kenyon College, an MA from Columbia University, and a PhD from Boston University. He has lived abroad in Europe and Puerto Rico. He is a cancer survivor and has three children and six grandchildren, and he has lived in San Francisco with his partner for over thirty years.view less
